Don't want to help yourself find capital? Find this! It is amazing how many entrepreneurs are intimidated by the process of raising capital -- so intimidated that they refuse to help themselves. Instead, they try to get just about every person they know to sign a "finders fee" agreement if they introduce them to a capital source that ultimately invests. Don't be fooled as our experience has shown that these deals are rarely successful where the entrepreneur is not supplementing those efforts with his or her own efforts to beat the street and get the deal done! Simply put, nobody will invest in you if you do not invest in you. There is nothing more indicative of a lack of desire to succeed than expecting others to "find" you money while you watch from your sofa. If you want to be an entrepreneur, act like one! If you can't wear multiple hats, leave the hoe-down and get a regular job. Some big company will finance your lack of motivation . . . then again, probably not any more. Can I get a chorus of "Sit and Revolve" please?
